ONLINE Company Events as a Solution to the Current Situation.

As an innovative company within the sector, IDEA is keeping abreast of all developments in the field of online business event creation for its 2020 Assessment event.

The global pandemic caused by COVID-19 has proved to be an obstacle when holding face-to-face events: reduced seating capacity, difficulty in travelling between communities and even within them, safety measures, etc. This has opened the way to online events, a practice that was not that widespread and is now gaining momentum.

Online events have arrived with a bang and, possibly, are here to stay.

Many events that were previously held at venues, auditoriums, hotels or congress halls, among others, have now been transferred to computer screens in real time This is a benefitfor some companies, since the investment they have to make is lower, both in infrastructure and mobility. As Enrique Deans, Professor of Innovation at IE Business School, explains «Pandemic events outnumber pre-pandemic events»: “There have been some losses but there have also been gains”

But this leads to the argument: will the human factor that companies generated with face-to-face events be lost?.

At IDEA, we believe that any progress is good and that holding online events will not rule out the possibility of holding them in person in the future. As our annual Assessment event.

We look back on the good times we had at previous assessment events held at the end of each year. A highly unconventional event that brought together all the offices in Castellón, Valencia, Elche, Cartagena and Madrid. E At these events we discussed the successes we had achieved throughout the year and the goals we wanted to achieve in the coming year.

They did not entail monotonous presentations to motivate employees to achieve their goals. They were the way to bring people together and for #IDEAteams to become stronger together.

Through these events, #IDEAteams’ members are strengthened to achieve the perfect union.

This was the case in 2018, when we created the Star Wars-inspired film called “10 years of IDEA”where magic and future came together on stage with a presentation by our CEO, Emilio Sánchez.

The same goes for the 2019 event, in which the different kingdoms of IDEA: House Cartaginensis, House Madrid, House Elche and House Castellón all fought together, transforming ourselves into IDEA of Thrones, to become the sector’s most advanced engineering company.

And this year is not going to be any different! As we have already mentioned, IDEA has everything planned so that its offices can meet up again this year to celebrate the assessment event Of course, as a leading company in the technology sector, it will be done online, in real time and of course, with a great theme.
