Detail engineering I Substations I Lantania

IDEA worked alongside with LANTANIA on the detail engineering and legalisation project for the SET ALMUDEVAR 132/6.6 kV substation. This substation will be used to obtain the electricity needed to pump the water from the Monegros and Cinca canals and store it in the Almudévar reservoir. In turn, it will serve to evacuate the energy produced by the dam itself when the water is returned to the Monegros and Cinca canals.

The SET ALMUDEVAR 132/6.6 kV substation is a conventional outdoor AIS-type substation with a single busbar configuration with two 20–25 MVA transformer positions and one line position in the 132 kV system. In the 6.6 kV system there are two cell modules with a total of 19 cells. .

In this project we have worked with a great challenge given the configuration of the project, taking into account at the 6.6 kV level a pumping/generation system with reactive compensation through two capacitor banks of 10 mVAR with three steps each,as well as at the 132 kV level the configuration of two transformers with the possibility of operating in parallel.

The scope of the work has been to carry out the detail engineering and the legalisation project to obtain the works completion certificate, which in turn serves to record all the elements of the installation and all the calculations justifying them.

With the SET ALMUDEVAR 132/6.6 kV project, IDEA is facing new objectives with great results, progressing every day in different projects that makes our team unstoppable in the face of any challenge.
