EPC of a metallic structure in the Combined Cycle Power Plant.
The successful completion of a new EPC project for the manufacture of 1875 tn metallic structures for the extension of the AZITO IV Combined Cycle Power Plant in the Ivory Coast.
Azito Energie S.A. continues to work on the expansion of the Ivory Coast’s installed electricity generation capacity. When completed, it will supply 280 additional MW of electricity, which will amount to 706 MW, representing approximately 30%of the country‘s installed capacity.
This extension, which was launched on March 6, 2020, consists of the construction of a new 253 MW combined cycle unit on-site, which will be allocated to the electrical grid in order to improve the energy supply needs to the sub-region countries.

Scope:
The manufacturing process began at the end of July 2020 and the metallic structure supplied amounts to 1,875 Tn.

The two main buildings, the GAS TURBINE BUILDING and the STEAM TURBINE BUILDING, which amount to a total of 1,239 tn, were manufactured simultaneously and largely completed before the end of 2020. Metallic structures were manufactured in two workshops, which reduced response times.
There are also four other buildings, which are smaller than the first two: WORKSHOP BUILDING, MAIN RACK, WAREHOUSE EXTENSION and FEEDWATER TANK PLATFORM, totaling 443,5 Tn. Finally, 24 buildings of very different classification and smaller in size have been manufactured, totaling 187 Tn.

Trust backed up by more than 13 years of extensive experience in the sector and Combined Cycle power plants, participating in several projects by providing multidisciplinary technical support, electricity and civil services specialised in metallic structures and the most advanced use of Tekla Structures, I&C, etc. The latest and most recent project was carried out in the United Arab Emirates in a combined cycle plant of Sumitomo&GE EFS with a total power output of more than 1,800 MW.
