Bimbo Food Processing Plant Extension.
Development of mechanical detailed engineering and supervision during construction phase for the extension of the Bimbo Factory, specifically of the “Rustic Bread” range manufacturing section. Performing layout and calculations for installation optimisation, in addition to using BIM methodology together with Revit to design, avoid interferences, take measurements and reduce the time during the construction phase. All legalisations for the installations executed have also been carried out. Disciplines involved: electricity, automation, fluids and processes.
Technical support:
Works carried out during the technical support for the installation of Fluids and Air Conditioning:
- On-site visit for data collection.
- 3D modelling and isometric calculation of piping with dimensions
greater than 2″.
- 2D engineering plans provided in .pdf and .dwg format.
- Facilities.
- As-Built Plans.
- Support for the performance of records, calculations, plans of facilities and legalisations.
- Plans in DCW, HW and DHW, CW, NG and AC formats for dimensions over 2″, according to the list provided by the client.
Bimbo’s power plant located in Azuqueca de Henares (Guadalajara) has two tin loaf production lines, one of which produces 120 units per minute and the other one, 360. The company also produces other types of bread, such as rustic bread or cereals, reaching a production of more than 60,000 tons of bread per year.
This factory has a surface area of 30,000 square metres in the ‘Miralcampo’ industrial estate and has the largest tin loaf production capacity in the world. Among its features, it is worth highlighting its commitment to technology and innovation and the implementation of sustainability tools that promote energy and water savings in its processes.
Currently, IDEA has extensive experience in food processing plants after developing several projects within the agri-food sector. We strive for a 100% optimised design, always ensuring the top quality and safety of our clients’ facilities.
