Multidisciplinary engineering I LNG Plant I Moncobra

IDEA, commissioned by Grupo Cobra, is carrying out in this project the adaptation of the facilities of a regasification plant for the supply of LNG bunker, with sufficient polyvalence to supply a wide range of LNG mother ships and feeder ships.

In this project we will be in charge of drawing up the detailed engineering to adapt the gasification facilities for the supply of LNG at the quay, as well as developing the LNG loading system for the ship, with the specified means of transfer to the ship.

In order to achieve this objective, two primary lines will be created, one for supplying LNG and the other for recovering boil-off, which will be linked to the primary LNG and natural gas collectors respectively. Additionally, a cooling recirculation line for the main loading pipeline will also be designed.

In order to ensure that these lines operate properly, associated metal structure platforms are installed for ease of access to the valves, corresponding service/utility lines, flow meters, signals and other necessary associated instrumentation, safety means such as an anti-spill tray for possible leaks in the transfer to the vessels, as a passive protection measure, and a fire protection system as an active measure, among others.

The scope of the new installation ranges from the connection flanges of the future ship loading hoses to the connection with the LNG and gas return manifolds of the facility. For this purpose, in the applicable phase, we carried out a study and calculation of each of the different specialities to draw up the manufacturing plans, measurements, and other necessary documents.

As it is an existing plant, in order to include all the new elements, we have worked with the assistance of a point cloud of the plant, thus obtaining a real vision of the occupied space and possible interferences to prefabricate and speed up the assembly work in the execution phase. In addition, we supervise the assembly work on site.
