BIM Modelling
Integration into our projects of BIM models for an overall design of the building which includes the structure, installations (MEP) and architecture.
What is BIM?
Building Information Modelling (BIM) is a collaborative work methodology for the creation and management of a construction project.
Its aim is the management of the data of a building during its life cycle, deploying dynamic modelling software for buildings in three dimensions and in real time to reduce the loss of time and resources in design and construction. The BIM extends throughout the building life cycle.
Advantages of the BIM Service
Realistic visualizations and analyses of the project drawing
Estimates about acquisition, resources and tendering
Constructability and Optimisation of the construction and assembly sequences
Early detection of problems/incidents which may arise during construction
More effective management of human resources
It works on the adjustment of cost factors
It improves the marketing and presentation of construction methods
Early corrections which allow time and money to be saved
Improvement in the Data Management of the Project
Greater Control of the Life Cycle
Real-time Updating Throughout the Project
Increase in Productivity
Improvement in Productivity
Cost Cutting
BIM Services
BIM 3D Modelling of metallic structures, concrete and mixed
3D BIM modelling of structures, defining both the structure and its miscellaneous related aspects (stairs, rails, vertical ladders etc), in a degree of detail with 3D connections which allows a real, final vision to be gained at the project stage, thereby verifying the reliability of the design and constructability for its subsequent manufacture.
We carry out the following works:
Drafting of engineering drawings, drawings for manufacture (cutting and reinforcement) and assembly for metallic structures.
Carrying out of engineering drawings, cast unit drawings (casting in situ and prefabricated) and reinforcements for concrete structures.
We obtain all the project information in real time (lists of material, workshop lists, assembly stages, concrete volume, formwork surface, pouring stages, certifications….)
We use TEKLA STRUCTURES software.
Piping and Equipment Modelling
BIM 3D Modelling of piping and equipment, deploying tools for the design of Industrial Plants, creating virtual scale models and “intelligent” drawings which allow a final, real vision to be gained at the project stage, thereby verifying the reliability of the design and constructability for its subsequent manufacture.
We use BIM tools such as Cadworx and Open Plant:
CADWorx Plant Design.
The design tool includes structural steel, equipment, piping and supports, conduits, process and instrumentation diagrams and design review, in addition to isometrics and automated material counts.
The two-way links to other software enables us to have at our disposal models and related information which is continuously updated as and when changes are made.
OpenPlant allows the 3D design of piping, air-conditioning systems and electrical equipment. The revision cycles are speeded up by means of interoperability with software which provides open data models.
Architectonic Modelling and MEP
IDEA Ingeniería regards architecture for the industrial sector as a driving force which inspires and modifies. Our work is geared towards meeting the needs and interests of our customers with a view to merging decoration and structure.
All our Projects are carried out using BIM/REVIT models for the design of architecture and installations (MEP), carrying out total integration of all the elements and achieving coordination which allows those conflicts to be settled which may occur during project implementation. We provide technical assistance, from the design to the construction thereof.
