New EPC Project of a Metallic Structure in a Combined Cycle Power Plant in the Ivory Coast

Awarded a new EPC project for the manufacture of metallic structures for a Combined Cycle power plant in the Ivory Coast.

We are delighted to announce Cobra Group has awarded IDEA a newEPC project. . Particularly, the manufacture of 1800 tof metallic structures for the extension of the AZITO IV Combined Cycle Power Plant in the Ivory Coast. This new extension will increase the Power Plant’s capacity by 280 MW.

The client, Azito Energie, has been operating the Azito power plant since 1999, the year in which the first phase was put into operation. Nowadays, the installed power reaches 420 MW, approximately 25% of the Ivory Coast’s electricity production.

IDEA also has extensive experience in Combined Cycle power plants. It has collaborated on several occasions with Técnicas Reunidas, providing multidisciplinary technical support; electricity, civil specialising in metallic structureswith advanced use of Tekla Structures, I&C, etc The last and most recent project has been carried out in the United Arab Emirates. Sumitomo&GE EFS’s combined cycle plant with a total capacity of more than 1,800 MW, for which TR was awarded the contract for the construction of the new plant for a total of $350 M, working in consortium with General Electric.
